So, after Tuesday i'm uh, homeless. Score?
I'm having problems with my old ISP and they took monye from my bank, so i dont have have the money i need to stay where i am until Friday, when a pay check should clear. So tomorrow I'm going to sign on and try and claim benifits, and try and crash at a mates, or find a squat or something. So, if i vanish of the scope again, its cos I cant get to net/have no money in my phone, but I'll assure you now, I'm fine. :D
Yeah, so I'm gonna be moving into a mates flat, but not untill sometime November, but still that's pretty awesome, and it's 5 mins from DKM, who i am going to kidnap and make drink there. I'm handing out CV's like the plauge and should hear back from places in a few days, but yeah.
Oh, we scammed my old work, so i should be getting a job working for the same company that fired me for 'being too real' :D
Oh, and Laura, I hated the thought of working for a corparate bunch of sell outs, so i ripped up my aplication form and left it in a coffee mug. I'm applying for Costa and Caffe Nero, cos they both have supah hot waitre.....standards, super hot standards.

So yeah! Foo trip in december! Now all i need is a ticket to the Manchester gig and I'm well sorted!
This is gonna be fucking ace!
In other news, I got a call from Gran in New York today saying that my Dad's buisiness is gone and his house was destroyed and looted and no-one has heard from him since Monday (he works and lives in New Orleans, for anyone confused) So that's a bit shit.
I don't normally post links and stuff to these things, but please help a bit if you can, even one £, $ or € will help:
http://www.redcross.org
http://www.convoyofhope.org/
http://www.mercycorps.org/
The only reason I posted these links is the fact I am SO pissed off with Dubya for doing sweet FA and letting those people try and deal with the disaster as best they can.
So yeah, help if and any way you can, please.
Apart from that, i dicovered;

And I thought it was pretty sweet.
ANDREW FARRAR MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER CD SINGLE - FEATURING "FIELDS OF ATHENRY" (PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED BALLAD VERSION) AND "LAST LETTER HOME" FROM THE NEW ALBUM "THE WARRIOR'S CODE".
Dropkick Murphys were in the studio in late January this year recording their new album when we heard the news about Sgt. Andrew Farrar's death. As mentioned in a previous newsletter we received a copy of the letter Andrew wrote to his mother before he passed away in which he asked that if anything should happen to him he wanted the Dropkick Murphys version of "Fields Of Athenry" to be played at his funeral. Excerpts from that letter were later incorporated into one of our new songs "Last Letter Home". After hearing the tragic news we offered to come to Andrew's funeral and perform "Fields Of Athenry" and we also recorded a new ballad style version of that song in Andrew's honor. There were only three copies made of that recording of "Fields Of Athenry"; one was placed in Andrew's casket, the second was given to his mother and the third was given to his wife. We recently heard about a memorial fund Andrew's family set up to benefit his two sons Liam & Tyler and thought we cou ld help raise some money by releasing a copy of the recording we did for Andrew's funeral and donating 100% of the proceeds to the memorial fund. We have had numerous requests from people to hear a copy of the recording of this song, especially since we performed it live at some of our shows.
There will be a limited run of 2,500 copies of this CD single manufactured which will include two tracks; the ballad style version of "Fields Of Athenry" recorded in Sgt. Andrew Farrar's memory and "Last Letter Home" the song from the new album "The Warrior's Code" that incorporated parts of the letter Andrew wrote to his mother.

Thank you for your generosity.
Now, before reading the whole thing, my first thoughts were 'thousands have troops died in the 'war', what makes this guy so special to have a memorial fund'. I think what his family and DKM are doing is a really sweet way of remembering their son/father/husband/fan. And it benefits his children for college and stuff.
It's stuff like this which makes can make you smile and remember that there is some good in the world.

Righty-o.
should I go see DKM on the 25th in northampton? I've looked into it and trains will cost £99 ish, lasting 9 hours and then i just need to focus on tickets and a place to crash, but sleeping in a train station wou;dn't bother me.
If i decide to do this then I can only thank the 2 greatest words ever: 'computing error'
I worked one day last week and did a 6 hour shift, got my pay slip in and saw it had the total of £150 there. Someone messed up and i get to keep the money. it's like a sign.
I just need someone to push me over the edge and buy tickets. then i need to mug a camera from someone.
c'mon people, peer pressure!
